King Favre has Arrived
Well, it took the three stooges to get his majesty back to Eden Praire. I truly wonder how it feels to have that kind of power over a franchise. Yes, we have been held out to dry by Brett before, so this does not come as a shock to the sporting world. What it has become is the Favre Media Show, and we can’t wait for it to come onto our TV screens.
I feel sorry for his teams and the other NFL players who has to get to camp on time or be fined, and perhaps let go. Favre is able to dictate when he is coming to camp, and holds us hostage by not letting us know in a timely manner if he is even coming to camp.
Had this been another player, the sporting world and the media would have had him for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I really thought that Goddell had a handle on the NFL. It does not appear that he has a handle on Brett Favre and the Vikings. What is good for the gander, should be good for the goose. It is not fair to us, and it certainly is not fair to the other NFL players. I MAKE THE CALL.
Rumor has it
Rumor has it that Brett Favre is set to retire, but no one in the Vikings organization has been officially told by Favre or his agent.
Here we go again: same drama mama from Fab Favre. Where and how this rumor got started, only Favre knows, but again, it leaves the Vikings in a bit of a quandry.
I hope that Jackson and Rosenfeld are practicing as if one of them will be the starting quarterback.
If Brett’s ankle is the problem, why doesn’t he just come out and say he needs more time for the healing?
We all know that it takes much longer to heal when you are forty than when you are thirty. Just don’t hold the football world hostage. Man up and let us know what your plans are. Better yet, let your team mates know so that they can plan their season with you or without you.
How would you feel if they were to hold you up season after season? Just do the right thing, and in this case. RETIRE without the fanfare. You will get all of that at your induction ceremony in Canton five years from now. I MAKE THE CALL.
The Annual Bret Favre Wait and watch
We should be use to it by now.
No wonder Favre keeps us wondering and getting all of this media attention. I would also, if given the opportunity.
Free publicity, and no 2 a day workouts in the sweltering heat. I can do that for a mere $12 mil per year.
Childress and the Viking organization are spineless to keep this charade going with Favre.
What about the other players who get fined and ostracized for not showing up to camp on time?
Okay, so the man has had the ankle worked on three times, and it appears it is not getting any better. If this is the case, put him on the injured reserve list and move on.
I know that if I were one of the Vikings quarterback waiting in the wings, I would be having some serious thoughts about the situation.
Unfortunately, there is nothing that they can do about it. Favre gets his way while the rest of the football world takes a seat and wait for his return. I MAKE THE CALL.
NFL, Favretricks Again
Every year the football world has to sit around and wait for his majesty King Favre to put out his edict on whether or not he will be participating in football this upcoming season.
If you are a politician, it is called politrics. In Favre’s case, it is Favretricks.
When are we as fans of football going to say enough is enough?
Why do we allow Favre to hold the NFL hostage?
Why does the owner, coach and everyone else associated with the team put up with type of behavior?
He is not the only football player on the planet. Yes, he plays the game much better than most, but the last time I checked on what made up a team, the number was 53 personnel.
This behavior by Favre, to delay decisions on whether he will have surgery or not have surgery plays havoc with an entire roster welfare. That is simply not right, and some one should stand up and say it. Better yet, management should make a move on what to do about the Favretricks. I MAKE THE CALL.
