The year was 1961, that was 49 years ago when the Chicago last saw the Stanley Cup. This week in the city of Brotherly Love, there was a whole lot of love for the Blackhawks. They finally put the curse to rest by winning game six in overtime, 4 to 3 against the Flyers. Patrick Kanes’s goal in overtime was the moment of truth. At first, only Kane believed the shot went in, but after what seem like an eternity, the light finally went on.
