Winter Olympics, Not the Stanley Cup, but just as good, if not better
7.40 into the overtime period, Crosby fired the shot that sent shock waves through Team USA at the Winter Olympics, featuring Canada against the USA for the Hockey Gold.
The winning goal was a spectacular shot as it went pass Ryan Miller in the overtime period. How it got to overtime itself was just as spectacular as the winning goal with only 24 seconds left in regulation, the USA scored to even the score at 2-2 each.
Canada’s winning shot is one for them to savor for years. Why?.They beat the USA team when it meant the most. They beat them in the Winter Olympics and took home the Gold. Congrats to them. As for the USA, better luck next time, but you gave it your best shot, only to fall one gold shy. I MAKE THE CALL
Winter Olympics, Speed Skating, Shanni Davis
I am not a big fan of winter sports. I can’t ski and I can’t skate.
I am Afro-American, and we don’t normally patronize this type of sporting event. However, for the life of me, when an Afro-American skater accomplishes something that has never been done before regardless of ethnicity, there is very little headlines about it.
I am not knocking Vonn who is injured, but won her gold medal, but why is she the only one given a whole lot of prime time?
On the other hand, Shanni Davis, an Afro-American, which in and of itself is a huge story, is the first to defend his 1000 meter gold and was successful to become the first person to win back to back 1000 meter speed skate event.
Sometimes I wonder.
Take it anyway you want to. I JUST MAKE THE CALL
